Work done by a force is maximum when the angle between force and displacement is 00.
Since = F.s Cos0  W = F.1  W = F.s is maximal when the angle is zero degrees, work done is said to be at its maximum when displacement is parallel to the direction of the force.
When an object is moved as a result of applying force, we say that the work is finished.
