To move an object there is a requirement of energy that is generated by the force applied on the object and is known as work done by it. Work done by a body is given by
= Fs cosθ
Where, F is force applied, s is the displacement and θ is the angle between force and displacement.
And when a man is moving horizontally that means the gravitational force acts perpendicular to the displacement or θ = 90°. Therefore, work done will be zero.
