Work done is equivalent to the kinetic energy of an object.

Work done is equivalent to the change in the kinetic energy of the body. Hence, work, in the form of kinetic energy can be expressed as

 $W = Final Kinetic Energy - Initial Kinetic energy$

$W = \frac{1}{2}m{v}^2 - \frac{1}{2}m{u}^2$

where 'm' is the mass of the body, 'u' and 'v' are the initial and final velocity of the body respectively.
