Detailed Solution

World's first rotary printing press was invented by Richard March Hoe. Richard March Hoe, an American inventor who created the first effective rotary printing press, was born in New York, New York, on September 12, 1812, and passed away in Florence, Italy, on June 7, 1886. He got rid of the outdated flatbed press and mounted the type on a rotating cylinder, a design that would later become the Hoe rotary, or "lightning," press, which was patented in 1847. The Philadelphia Public Ledger utilised it for the first time in 1847, printing 8,000 pages per hour on one side.
