* Based on the position of micropyle and Funiculus ovules are of different types.
Orthotropous ovule :
* It is straight ovule where micropyle, chalaza, funiculus are arranged on same vertical line.
Eg: Polygonum

* It is an inverted ovule. Micropyle lies close to the funiculus. Raphe present. Degree of curvature of body of ovule is 180°.
Eg : Sunflower

* Body of the ovule placed right angle to the funiculus. Embryo sac is slightly curved.
