(a) Multimolecular colloids are formed by aggregation of a large number of atoms or molecules which generally have diameter less than 1 while associated colloids are formed by aggregation of a large number of ions in concentrated solutions.

(b) Coagulation is the settling of colloidal particles while peptization is conversion of precipitate into colloidal sol by awaking it with dispersion medium in presence of small number of electrolytes.

(c) In homogenous catalysis, the reactants and catalyst are in same phase while in heterogeneous catalysis, reactants and catalyst are in different phase.
