Detailed Solution

Concept- We shall use the theory of the Cartesian plane in two dimensions to this problem.
A technique for describing a point's location is based on the notion of the Cartesian plane in two dimensions proposed by French mathematician Rene Descartes. Two lines perpendicular to one another were placed on a plane with the intention of finding locations on the plane with reference to these lines.
He started identifying locations on a plane using these lines, placing one horizontal and one vertical. The x-axis is the horizontal line, and the y-axis is the vertical line. Origin is the name given to the point where these lines join. Its coordinates are (0,0). Positive points are located to the right of the origin, whereas negative points are located to the left. The plane is divided into four equal halves called quadrants by this entire arrangement. The first quadrant, second quadrant, third quadrant, and fourth quadrant are referred to as such. These quadrants play a crucial role in figuring out where any point on a plane is located. So,
The x-axis is a horizontal line, while the y-axis is a vertical line.
The first, second, third, and fourth quadrants of the plane created by these two lines are collectively referred to as quadrants.
Hence, the answer is (i) x-axis
(ii) quadrant,  point of concurrency
