5.24

We know that
After the decimal 1st place is called 10th place
2nd is called 100th place
And 3rd is called thousand place and so on…
Now, we have the decimal number
(i) 82.61 Here, the underline number is 6 which is written second digit after decimal point.
So, Place value = hundredths
(ii) 5.24
Here, the underline number is 4 which is written at just after the decimal point.
So, Place value = tenths
Hence, the decimal place values is Hundredths and tenths.
