Concept- A natural number having more than two factors is called a composite number.
We know that a natural number that has exactly 2 factors, 1 and the number itself, is known as the prime number.
A natural number having more than two factors is called a composite number.
So,
Smallest prime number = 2
Smallest composite number is 4
L.C.M. of the smallest prime number and the smallest composite number :
L.C.M  and 2 and  4  = 2 × 2 = 4
Hence, the smallest composite number is 4 and the L.C.M. of the smallest prime number and smallest composite number is also 4.
Hence, the correct option is 2.
