Akbar, one of the greatest Mughal emperors, made several important contributions to strengthen and stabilize the Mughal administration. Two of the most significant are:

1. The Mansabdari System:

Akbar introduced the Mansabdari system to organize his army and administration. Under this system, every officer (called a Mansabdar) was ranked according to the number of soldiers he had to maintain. This ensured discipline in the army, loyalty to the emperor, and efficient collection of revenue to pay the soldiers. It helped Akbar build a strong and professional military force.

2. Policy of Religious Tolerance (Sulh-i-Kul):

Akbar realized that his empire included people of many religions. To bring peace and unity, he followed the policy of Sulh-i-Kul (universal peace). He abolished the Jizya tax on non-Muslims and appointed Hindus to high government positions. This policy reduced conflicts, gained him the loyalty of people from different communities, and made the Mughal Empire more stable and prosperous.
