Detailed Solution

WTO aims to liberalise international trade.
The World Trade Organisation was initiated in 1995 as a successor of the General Agreement on Trade and Tariff (GATT), which was started in 1948 with 23 countries as its members. Currently, 164 countries have membership in the World Trade Organisation. The WTO aims to improve trade at the international level. India's part of the WTO has fulfilled its responsibilities for liberating trade by removing quotas and tariff restrictions. The World Trade Organisation also works at expanding the production and trade of services and moderate utilisation of world resources, along with protecting our environment.
