Detailed Solution

When XeF6  reacts with a higher amount of water, it undergoes further hydrolysis to form xenon oxydifluoride  XeO2F2  and xenon oxytetrafluoride  2XeOF4  according to the following equation:

XeF6 + 4H2O  XeO2F2 + 2XeOF4 + 6HCl

The XeF6  molecule reacts with four water molecules to form one molecule of  XeO2F2 , two molecules of  2XeOF4 , and six molecules of hydrochloric acid (HF).
