Xylem with vessels is found in gymnosperms

In gymnosperms vessels are absent in xylem and companion cells in phloem except the three genera of Gnetopsida (Gnetum, Ephedra, Welwitschia) the vessels produced in these three genera are not the true vessels produced in these three genera are not the true vessels from their origin point of view but they are modified tracheids, externally looking like vessels
