Ziauddin Barani was a chronicler. Ziauddin Barani was a 14th-century chronicler who wrote his first chronicle in 1356. His chronicle had an interesting story behind it; the first version of his chronicle was not known till the 1960s. After he had written his first chronicle in 1356 he also came up with another version of it 2 years later. Since there were no printing presses at that time Barani had to make manuscripts of his chronicle; this led to certain changes which were different from his first version. However, the historians got to know only about the second chronicle of Barani. Thus, the continuity of history has been distorted due to the delay in knowing the first chronicle.
