Zn + HCl → H2 + ZnCl2,this reaction is an example of displacement reaction.
When one element is substituted for an additional element in a compound in a reaction, it’s known as a single displacement reaction. During this reaction, when dilute hydrochloric acid is added to granulated zinc and placed in a test tube, then zinc metal is converted to zinc chloride, and hydrogen gas is made. And that we can see that zinc chloride which is salt, is created, and hydrogen gas is evolved. The formed hydrogen gas is colourless and odourless.
Also, the zinc granules are the solid crystals of zinc, and it reacts easily with the acid and produces hydrogen bubbles.
