In Brassicaceae the number stamens are six with two short stamens in the outer whorl and four long stamens in anterio-posterior pairs in the inner whorl. In Liliaceae or Allium, the six stamens are arranged in two whorls with three stamens in each whorl. In Datura the five stamens are present in a single whorl. In Pea or Fabaceae the 10 stamens are arrange in two bundles with nine stamens in one bundle and the other one in another bundle as free stamen.
