Replication
Question

Arrange the involvement of following enzymes  during DNA replication in correct sequence.

a. DNA Ligase

b. Helicase

c. Primase

d. DNA polymerase

Easy
Solution

The various enzymes involved in sequence during DNA replication are Helicase, Primase, DNA polymerase and DNA ligase.

Helicase opens the DNA at ori site and separates the two strands of DNA to initiate replication.

On the template DNA strands the primase forms RNA primer few nucleotides length.

DNA polymerase attaches Deoxyribonucleotides to the primers and elongates it and forms daughter DNA strands on template DNA strands. It also proof reads the newly formed DNA strand and removes the primer and replaces it with deoxyribonucleotides. (Carries out repair mechanism).

DNA ligase attaches the Okazaki fragments of lagging strand formed on template DNA strand with 53! polarity.
