Assertion (A) : Root cap region and meristematic regions are seen in mature embryonal stage of an angiospermic seed.
Reason (R) : During embryogeny the apical meristem of root is demarcated after globular stage and covered by root cap formed from hypophysis ( the last cell of suspensor).
At the entry of globular stage of angiospermic embryo, the hypophysis cell of pro-embryo acts as root cap initial and after globular stage the radicle with root apical meristem and plumular region with one or two cotyledons are differentiated to form cordate stage of embryo. At maturity the embryo has well organised root cap covering the apical meristem present in radicle.
