Solution

Coexistance genes on the same chromosomes is called linkage. More nearer the genes on a chromosome, more tightly they are linked and show fewer recombinations as revealed with the experiments conducted by Morgan on Drosophila. He observed that genes for body color and eye color are closely linked and showed only 1.3% recombinations and genes for eye color and length of wings are loosely linked and showed 37.2% recombinations.
