Detailed Solution
If a plant is provided wavelength of light more than 680, there is sudden decline photosynthetic rate because only PS I is operated and there is no O2 evolution or CO2 fixation. Chlorophyll b absorbs more blue light than chlorophyll a. Carotenoids absorb more blue light and negligible red light. Photosynthetic rate is more at 570 nm than beyond 700 nm wavelength. Beyond 700 nm, there is no operation of any photosystem of poor absorption of light.
