Solution

Most of the cells of cork are dead but a few of them known as complementary cells are living and present in lenticel region. Periderm has permanent tissues cork and secondary cortex and meristematic tissue known as cork cambium. Bark also has permanent tissues like secondary phloem, primary phloem, cork, secondary cortex and meristem cork cambium.
