In photorespiration there is no formation of ATP instead ATP are utilized and there is loss of carbon of 5C sugars as carbon dioxide. $C_{4}$ plants show kranz anatomy in their leaves. Optimum temperature for $C_{3}$ plants for photosynthesis is $20 - 25^{o} C$ . $C_{3}$ cycle was first discovered by Calvin and Basham and hence also known as Calvin cycle.
