Detailed Solution
In Gymnosperms, male gametes are formed from body cell due to mitotic division. In these plants meiosis takes place at the time of megasporogenesis and microsporogenesis. Bryophyllum reproduces vegetatively by forming adventitious buds known as epiphyllous buds at the notches of leaf margin. Penicillum shows internal fertilization in its female sex organ known as ascogonium. Cladophora produces isogametes which are released into surrounding water where they fuse and form zygote in the water.
