Functions of which of the following cell organelle are not coordinated with the components of endomembrane system?
Peroxisomes are a type of microbodies whose functions are not coordinated with endomembrane system. Peroxisomes are involved in oxidation of fatty acids and generating and removing hydrogen peroxide of cells. These functions are not coordinated with E.R, Golgi complex and lysosomes. Lysosomes, Vacuoles, Endoplasmic reticulum and Golgi complex are integral parts of endomembrane system.
