Detailed Solution
With the formation of floral meristem, the internodes get condensed and the apex may totally transform into a flower with usually three condensed internodes and four nodes from which the floral leaves arise. A bract may also be formed as a leaf like appendage in whose axil either a flower or a floral branch is present. Based on the type of inflorescence the flowers may be formed at the apex of axis and its branches in solitary manner or they are formed laterally.
