Easy
Solution

Meiocyte is usually diploid. There should be the presence of homologous chromosomes for meiosis to take place.
The microspore mother cell undergoes meiosis to produce the haploid microspores.
The antherozoid mother cell in bryophytes is haploid and hence it undergoes mitosis to produce the haploid antherozoids. Hence it cannot be a meiocyte.
Meiosis occurs in cells having even number of chromosomes.
