Solution

The length of DNA = Distance between adjacent base pair x total number of base pair in diploid cell.
χ x 0.34 x $10^{- 9}$ (m) = 4.08 m
χ = (4.08/ 0.34 x $10^{- 9}$ )= 12x $10^{9}$ .
