The DNA
Question

If the distance between two consecutive base pairs is 0.34 nm and the DNA is 4.08m. Calculate the number of base pairs present in the DNA.

Moderate
Solution

The length of DNA = Distance between adjacent base pair x total number of base pair in diploid cell.

χ x 0.34 x 10-9 (m) = 4.08 m

χ = (4.08/ 0.34 x 10-9)= 12x109.
