Lysozyme is the enzyme that dissolved the cell wall of bacteria made of peptidoglycan. Chilled ethanol is used to precipitate the genomic DNA from other cellular contents of cell during the isolation of DNA of donor cell. Bioreactors are huge vessels used in the process of rDNA technology to obtain foreign gene product in huge quantities. Ethidium bromide is a dye used for detecting the location of DNA fragments in electrophoresis run gel matrix which appear as bright orange regions when exposed to UV radiation.
