Match the following
List – I | List – II |
A) Central dogma in molecular biology | I) Gamow |
B) Replication of DNA in Eukaryotes | II) Chase |
C) Transduction experiments to confirm DNA as genetic material | III) Crick |
D) Code should be made of three nucleotides. | IV) Taylor |
Crick proposed the central dogma of molecular biology. Semiconservative mode of replication of DNA in Eukaryotes was shown by Taylor in Vicia faba. To establish DNA as genetic material but not protein, transduction experiments were conducted by Hershey and Chase. Gamow suggested that the code should be made of three nucleotides in order to indicate all the 20 amino acids.
