B) | Class 5 | II) | Breakdown of substrate by adding water |
C) | Class 3 | III) | Removal of groups from substrate without involvement of water |
D) | Class 4 | IV) | Transfer of groups from one substrate to other |
Class 2 enzymes are transferases which transfer groups from one substrate to other. Class 3 enzymes are hydrolases that bring about breakdown of the substrate by addition of water. Class 4 enzymes are Lyases that remove groups from the substrate without the involvement of water.
