Monocot root differs from dicot root

Monocot roots have more than six vascular bundles or more than six xylem groups and show polyarch condition. Dicot roots show usually diarch to tetrarch condition. In both dicot and monocot roots root hairs, pericycle and endodermis with casparian thickenings are present.
