Solution

Sister chromatids are not separated during meiosis I or first nuclear division but separated during second nuclear division or meiosis II. There are two sequential cycles of nuclear and cell divisions, the number of chromosomes is decreased to half in the first nuclear division and there is formation 3 spindle apparatus in a meiotic cycle.
