Solution

In Racemose inflorescences the apex of peduncle is not modified into flower and flowers are formed laterally on the indefinitely growing peduncle. If peduncle is condensed, the flowers appear as developing in centripetal manner. Some racemose inflorescences have condensed peduncle as in head inflorescence.
