In all epigynous flowers stamens are placed above ovary, petals and sepals. In some perigynous flowers with wide cup shaped thalamus, the stamens are present above the ovary, petals and sepals. In hypogynous flower the ovary is present above other floral parts. In some perigynous flowers the ovary is neither superior nor inferior.
