Opposite and alternate phyllotaxy is observed in Guava and Sunflower respectively. In alternate phyllotaxy single leaf arises at each node in alternate manner as in china rose. In opposite phyllotaxy a pair of leaves develop at each node and lie opposite to each other. Alstonia and Nerium show whorled phyllotaxy.
