Hot springs are highly acidic and show extreme temperatures. Hence the organisms of hot springs can be called as thermoacidophiles. Organisms that thrive in salty waters are called as halophiles. Organisms live at normal temperatures are called as mesophiles and that ones live on ice are called as cryophiles.
