All the tissues present outside the vascular cambium together called as bark. Phellem, Phellogen and Phelloderm together called as periderm. Innermost darker region of secondary xylem of tree is called duramen or heart wood. Lenticels are lens shaped openings seen in the cork or secondary plant body useful for exchange of gases.
