Statement A: Asymmetric spindle is formed during the development of male gametophyte in angiosperms.
Statement B: An asymmetric spindle has converged and diverged poles.
The first division in the pollen grain or microspore of angiosperms takes place when the microspore is still in the microsporangium. During this the spindle formed is asymmetric with one pole where the spindle fibers are converged and at another pole the spindle fibers are diverged. Due to such division, there is formation of larger vegetative cell and smaller spindle shaped generative cell.
