Statement B: Cells of cortical parenchyma are relatively larger with prominent intercellular spaces and pericycle parenchyma cells are smaller and without intercellular spaces.

Easy
Solution

The size, shape and composition of cells of a particular type of tissue varies from location to location in the plant body. Pericycle cells are smaller, thin walled and without intercellular spaces. Cells of cortex have intercellular spaces and relatively larger with thick primary walls. Cortical cells may be sub-spherical or oval and pericycle cells are rectangular.
