Statement A: In metaphase I of meiosis there is the formation of two metaphase plates.
Statement B: During metaphase I the bivalent chromosomes are aligned at the equatorial line to form equatorial plate.
During metaphase I, the bivalent chromosomes align on the equatorial plane of the cell with chromosomes on both sides of the equatorial plane of the metaphasic plate. The microtubules from the opposite poles of the spindle attach to the kinetochore of homologous chromosomes.
