Solution

Several mesophyll cells of C₄ plants are involved in gathering CO₂ of atmosphere to form C₄ acids. These are transported to bundle sheath cells and subjected to decarboxylation to increase intracellular concentration of CO₂ in bundle sheath cells due to decarboxylation to enhance the RuBisCO carboxylation activity.
