Solution

Sugar beet, carrot and cabbage are biennials which normally flower and die in the second season. These flower only once and hence moncarpic plants. In Biennials, flowering can be induced by subjecting the plant to cold treatment during vegetative growth and later exposing to certain photoperiod.
