What would be the ploidy of the cells of the microspore tetrad?
The microspore mother cell undergoes meiosis to produce the microspore tetrad. Therefore, the cells of tetrads are a product of meiosis. Hence, they are haploid. Later the microspore tetrads are separated with the help of callase enzyme which is secreted by the tapetum to form individual haploid microspores.
