${CO}_{2}$ is the common substrate and $H_{2} O$ is the common product of photosynthesis of higher plants and Bacteria. The Hydrogen donor of bacterial photosynthesis is usually $H_{2} S$ and in higher plants it is $H_{2} O$ . The other product of photosynthesis of higher plants is $O_{2}$ but in bacteria it is Sulphur.
