Solution

RuBisCO stands for Ribulose bisphosphate carboxylase-oxygenase. It can catalyse carboxylation by binding to either RuBP and CO₂ or oxygenation by binding O₂ and RuBP at its active site. Therefore, it is a bifunctional enzyme.
