Synapsis is observed in meiosis. Chromosomes start pairing together and this process of association is called synapsis. Formation of synapsis takes place in the zygotene stage of meiosis.
Chromosome movement is prominent in metaphase and anaphase stages of mitosis. Spindle fibre formation is also observed in mitosis. Disappearance of nucleolus is observed in prophase stage of mitosis.
