BaCl2.  2H2O (Barium chloride dihydrate) contains ____ ?

Water of crystallization in BaCl2.  2H2O remains embedded in the interstitial voids or spaces within the crystal lattice of BaCl2 . The binding force is the electrostatic interaction between the barium ion and the lone pairs of the water molecule. This hydrated barium chloride has a monoclinic crystal structure ( refer Solid State ).
