Question

Calculate Δ,G for the conversion of oxygen to ozone, 32O2(g)O3^(g) at 298K if Kp for the conversion is 2.47×1029

Moderate
Solution

        T=298K,Kn=2.47×1029R=8.314JKmol 29;ΔiG=?

We know,   Δ,G=2.303RTlogKp

Substituting the values, we get,

ΔrG=2.303×8.314JKmol×298Klog2.47×1029=5705.8[log2.4729log10]=5705.8[0.392729]=5705.8×28.6=163185J=163.185kJ
