ClF3 +H2O   →  X+Y.    The products ‘X’ and ‘Y’ in the reaction are

Cl+3F3-1 +H2O → HCl+3O2 +HF-1. Lower halogen(bonded halogen atom) is hydrolysed to hydra acid and higher halogen(central halogen atom) is converted to corresponding oxo acid without change in oxidation number.
