Detailed Solution

Due to steric hindrance SF6 is chemically unreactive whereas SF4 can act as good fluorinating agent. For the same reason SF6 do not hydrolyse in water but SF4 hydrolyses in water. SF6 have is symmetric octahedral in structure. So it is non–polar and thus have weak attractive forces between molecules. SF4 has see saw shape which is unsymmetric and have dipole moment. So attractive forces between SF4 molecules are strong causing more boiling point thanSF6. Due to unsymmetric structure the axial and equatorial bond lengths are not same in SF4.
